November 7, 2007, will be the 90th anniversary of the October Revolution. This movie was made in 1927 to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the Revolution.
(If you’re wondering why the anniversary of the October Revolution is in November, it’s because at the time of the revolution, Russia was using the Julian Calendar, according to which the revolution occurred on October 24-25. When, in 1918, the Soviet Union switched over to the Gregorian Calendar, the date of the October Revolution became November 6-7.)
